have been going there for 19 yrs. Back when Casta ran it to last week . I moved out of Monson 6 yrs. ago to Bondsville and I always order and go to Monson to pick my pie up. never any problems , and always great !!!
I have been wanting to try Monson Italian Pizza for awhile. I am glad I did. The inside is atypical neighborhood pizzeria. Super clean. Most of the business seems to be takeout. I did find out they do deliver to Palmer MA. I let the person who took my order that it was my first time trying them and that I had been wanting to try them for long time. The employee was very polite and accommodating, excellent customer service. I was impressed to see that they actually hand toss and spin their pizza dough. Most of the other pizza places just press dough into preformed pans. I ordered to go a large combo pizza, a large roast beef grinder, and a chef salad to try. When the order was ready another employee came out and held the front door for me, to make sure I was able to safely navigate the stairs into the business. The pizza was really good, the hand tossed dough makes such a difference in the quality of the crust. The balance of cheese, toppings, and sauce was spot on. Because it size the pizza was square cut into 20 pieces. If you like a thinner, tender pizza crust, this is the pizza for you. The roast beef grinder was tasty as well. It was served on a very soft Italian grinder roll. Nice ratio of meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo. I have to say for the number of pizza options in area, Monson Italian Pizza is one of the top five.
My family has been eating pizza from here since 1985. I don't live in town anymore so when I am visiting family it's a blessing to much down on this delicious pie. Ordering it thin crust is a bonus but both ways are spot on. Enjoy!
I had gotten grinders here several times before, but a few weeks ago I decided to try the pizza. Excellent. Well cooked, plenty of toppings and a solid value. Now I'm not sure what I'm going to order the next time I go there. This is a good problem to have!

I remember when Costa used to have this business. My mom worked for him when I was a little girl. And we were friends of theirs. REST in peace Costa. Now under new ownership. We went when they first took over but we got a few undercooked pizzas the next few months and were disappointed. However we recently went back after swearing we would never return. And we have to say they still kept most of costas ways which is excellent. That dough on those pizzas, oh yum. We missed that doughy chewy goodness! The toppings however are much less than what costa put on his pizzas and we wish there was more. The average price for a large pizza is $25.00 it seems. They are a great size too! Well worth the reasonable price. But they need more toppings. The pizzas have been cooked to perfection now and we overall are pretty happy with the pizzas. I'm looking forward to trying a gyro the next time. The staff has been kind and courteous. They work great as a team. They are definitely on the ball. All the makings of a good business. The place still looks much the same but it's definitely cleaner. We had the combination pizza. Which was excellent but flimsy on the toppings. We also had the big Mack pizza which is also excellent but flimsy on the toppings. We've been back 4 times now. I do believe we will continue to go there. I do recommend Monson pizza!
